Ekatva finds its spirit in this ancient verse, the ‘Sangathan Mantra’. A hymn that calls upon humanity to walk together, think together, and act as one.
Since the earliest hymns of the Rig Veda, India has carried within its spirit a vision of collective harmony. One such mantra, resonant through centuries, offers a timeless call:
ॐ संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं सं वो मनांसि जानताम्।
देवा भागं यथा पूर्वे सञ्जानाना उपासते॥
समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी समानं मनः सहचित्तमेषाम्।
समानं मन्त्रमभिमन्त्रये वः समानेन वो हविषा जुहोमि॥
समानी व आकूतिः समाना हृदयानि वः।
समानमस्तु वो मनो यथा वः सुसहासति॥
हम सब एक साथ चले, एक स्वर में बोले,
हमारे मन एक हों।
प्राचीन समय में देवताओं का ऐसा आचरण रहा,
इसी कारण वे वंदनीय हैं।
मिलकर कार्य करने वालों का समान मंत्र हो,
हमारा लक्ष्य एक हो,
सबके चित और मन एक समान हों।
ऐसे संगठन के लिए मैं यह प्रार्थना करता हूँ
हमारी सोच और कामनाएँ समान हों,
ताकि एक समान लक्ष्य हमें संगठित करके रखे।
Let us all walk together,
Speak with one voice,
And let our minds be united.
In ancient times, the gods themselves followed this path of harmony
May those who work together share one common purpose,
And let minds and hearts beat as one.
For such unity, I offer this prayer
May our thoughts flow together, so that harmony may endure.

In the beginning, the books felt heavier than our shoulders could bear. It continued through years of exams that demanded knowledge, but beyond that, it demanded sacrifice, and the courage to try again when the world asked us to ‘give up’. For many of us, the day we saw the word Pass was a rebirth.
But that was only the prologue. The real test started after the two letters ‘CA’ became part of our name. Some of us walked into a small, rented office with one desk and a single client. Some worked under fluorescent lights until midnight, making sure no mistake slipped through. Some travelled across cities with files tucked under our arms, knocking on doors, chasing opportunities. We faced clients who questioned our worth, simply because we were not a ‘big firm’. And many nights, we carried home the weight of responsibility knowing that families, businesses, and livelihoods trusted us to stand tall.
It was lonely work. The world looks at us as individual firms, scattered professionals, each running our own race. But deep down, we knew our struggles were the same, our roots shared.
One evening, sitting beneath a banyan tree, we spoke of this truth. A banyan does not stand because of one root. It stands because countless roots hold it together. It does not give shade to only one traveller, but to many. Its branches grow in every direction, but always as part of one whole.
That was the birth of Ekatva.
